Handwoven recreation of 16th Century tapestry (circa 1540) entitled “The Wedding of Cephalus and Procris”. The story of Cephalus and Procris served as a moral example against jealousy and insinuations in marriage. Cephalus is accompanied by his father, Aeolus, while Venus watches from the clouds. Brussels, after the master of the Prodigal Son. Gold, Beige, Cream, Blue, Red, Pink. Hand-woven from natural wool by the artisans of China. Measures: 90 x 105 inches
